Tax creidts with part time job

Hi,
I'm new to the tax credit system but think I should have been using it for a while. I work self employed and have recently given up my job so that I am able to focus on my selfemployed work.
I have an offer of a part time job but I'm not sure whether if I take it will reduce my working tax credit. I'd be doing between 8-16 hours a week on minimum wage. I'd still be doing as much as I can self -emplyed 30-40 - would I still git the normal amount or would they deduct the money I earn from my part time job. I'd rather focus on building my own business if this is the case.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Luke

Basically, your estimated income would be your wages from the P/T job plus the S/E. If the S/E actually ran at a loss, the loss would be deducted from your P/T income. Your Tax Credit award would be based upon the end result.0

Thanks for the tips.
I'm guessing S/E is your predicted earnings for the year, but I can't work out for the S stands for?
I will try that link.
Thanks again.0 -
