Cheers Then!

I sold something 3 weeks ago BIN. It was listed as 2nd class & to be posted within 3 days.

The buyer bought it in the evening & sent a note asking if I could send it ASAP as they needed it. I sent it the next day & upgraded to 1st class (paid the excess out of my own pocket) so they would get it quicker.

Have I had any Thanks? Not a peep from then since.

Cheers then!

I would have still sent it 2nd class.

If you want thanks try another business. You may get the thanks of repeat custom or a recommendation to a friend, not everything is always apparent.

IMHO you get thanks from the most unsuspecting. Those that NEED, REQUIRE or are DESPERATE, rarely have time to thank.

    With hindsight, so do I!

Its not even like they are new to ebay, they have over 1000 feedback - just thought I would be nice :(

I know, but its not like I have a business. Im just selling off old [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] bits that I no longer need.

I guess its because I always say thanks, its a little word that just makes me feel a bit better.

Me too, kprigg, by the way, I refer to my tat as 'treasures' :D

It doesn't take much to say Thanks, does it?

I received a couple of books the other day and realised that the seller had totally underestimated the postage price and as I was pleased with the books I thought I'd be generous and sent her a further £2. This was actually more than the difference and I sent it by 'gift' so that she didn't have to pay any more for it and explaining why I'd done it but she said nothing.

I felt a little niggled and after a fortnight I sent her a further email asking if she'd had to pay any fees as I hadn't sent anything gift before (I hadn't, so I wasn't totally sure) but all she said was "I've never used gift either". Was it really too hard to say thank you? :(
