Hi,
I have received my Tax Credit renewal which should be sent before 31st July. Now my income for 2009-10 was £17400. I have started to rent a property out from middle of April this year. I need to declare this to them and to Self Assessment next year.
The renewal form I have just asked for income details for 2009-10 year but it doesent state to provide current years income if you need to be assesed in that way.
What should I do - provide my 2009-10 years income now and then provide 20010/11 income next renewal?
Thanks
MS

It would probably be best to phone them and then you can give the 09-10 income for your renewal and then also give them the 10-11 figure for them to use as the base for your current years award so that you avoid an overpayment.0
