Is it by YoungWriters? We had a letter on Saturday and DS3 won this as well - along with the whole class and the Albanian boy who's english is not only a second language but no existent.:( We can all pay £15.99 for the book. Nice moneymaker for the company involved Forward Press Ltd.0 -
I don't want to rain on your Dd's parade but Mumto5 is right - if it IS YoungWriters by Forward Press, they are well known for this kind of thing.

Googling them brings up lots of similar things.
If you are happy to pay for the book, and your DD would be proud to be in it, then by all means there is no harm in boosting her ego in this way. But I think the company should be more honest about the way it does business.

I am very excited, I have just got tickets to see Pink on Friday night, I am taking my sister as a surprise. My mum said she needed a bit of a boost and I have been thinking about it for ages. Don't know whether to tell her tonight so she can get excited too and have something to look forward to or wait until Friday.
Sorry it isn't flying related but it did declutter a lot of money. Well worth it in my opinion thoughMFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

LR is looking good, as is half the dining room. I moved all the managable furniture and hoovered + mopped underneath it all. Where there was once 3 baskets by the telly, there is now 1, where there were 4 in the dining room there is now 2 and a half and where there was 2 tatty overflowing boxes by the chair there is now 2 neat stacking boxes so quite chuffed with myself.
Corned beef pie is liked so hopefully that will last for tomorrow as well.
Bed is half made, the duvet cover is not dry yet. Cleared up after dinner and dishes done.
My back refuses to do any more so going to sit for a while with a cold drink and catch up with you all xx0 -

We've had those letters about poems in the past too - straight in the bin with all the other carp schools send home to encourage parents to spend money. I wondered at the time what the school got out of it.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
