After sanding the floorboards

Is there any way we can get 3 different types of plank to match colour by staining rather than painting? There's the orginial oak (I think) which is a lovely blush brown colour, then there are paler planks that were put down by the developers , and there are the very pale pine planks we put down yesterday to replace an area of chipboard.
Thanks!
Thanks!

colron do a range of wood dyes - light oak ,georgian medium oak or jacobian dark oak , what ever you go for try it on a sample bit of wood 1st and then see what it looks like0

Apart from texture you can't won't stain a piece of shed supplied pine to look like oak. It just won't look right, will be a bodge and offend your eye forever . Off to your local reclamation place and see what you can source to nearly match the original. Then on the bonny with the developers stuff and the pine you laid yesterday and fit the oak. Your alternative is to cover up the newer stuff with a rug or something but then again whats the point of sanding then?.

as above. you will never get a perfect/really good match.
but you can do your best by staining gently, using as many thin coats as required.
use an old cloth rather than a brush.
use gloves too!Get some gorm.0 -
Thanks for all the suggestions!0
