What are the 5 things that you tried?
What do you mean exactly by ejecting, I presume you mean windows things the device has been removed.

I would try totally uninstalling any ipod drivers or software (including itunes) then rebooting the system, checking for anything you missed, remove, reboot again. Then install the nano from scratch.

    To uninstall the drivers

    start-run-devmgmt.msc

find the usb port the ipod is on, open it and hit uninstall/remove drivers (can't remember exact wording right now)

post back anything you try and errors you get etc.

I need around £10,000. Help me get there!
