Perhaps you could look at a different college to do a course? Many of us have had bad experiences in work or education with relation to our health conditions, but if you can find a supportive tutor it would be a very positive step forward.

I'm not sure of some of the meds you have noted, but if they are the ones I assume you mean, they should not prohibit you from getting a driving licence.

I am on much stronger meds than you and most say the "dont use heavy machinery/ drive" priviso but they actually say "if sleepy do not use heavy machinery/drive", its up to the taker to make sure that they are safe to drive, I never change/up my meds at a time I need the car to allow myself time to evalulate the changes.

Just taking strong meds dosnt mean that you cant drive but you need to be responsible and only drive when you know that the meds arnt impairing you.

Hypermobility is very common and in most people it is harmless, have you had a proper hypermobility assessment?

Are you under the care of a physio? Physio can dramatically reduce pain and help with keeping joints in place in people with HMS. Well worth looking into!

Have you officially been diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome, or just hypermobile joints?

As I've said before, with the current benefit climate, I wouldn't risk it. It doesn't sound like you meet the criteria for higher rate mobility and pushing for more than you've already got is unlikely to get you any more.
  • I have asperger's (form of autism) & dyspraxia but I still drive.

It took me 3 attempts to pass my test but ive been driving for 20 years now accident free.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
