    I think I have told this one before, but when I lived up in the Highlands being a Stalker (deer) was considered an honourable profession. When I move down South and said I had been a Stalker, it got me a punch in the eye!:rotfl:

    By the way I have never hunted deer with anything more than a camera.
    I used to do my best to spook them, mainly when rich tourists were doing there best to take a trophy stag.

    Welcome to the madhouse, oops, NTN thread, happycamel:D. Please feel free to join in the chat here, we do get slighly surreal sometimes but there is a serious aim to our chatter - to keep this thread in view at all times.

    Numpty - welcome back ooop north, the rain's a bit colder up here, that's about the only difference atm

    Yes, it's a shame for MouseAnn - she was down at her son's house when it happened - she had been house- and dog-sitting while they were on holiday - I think her son was back when it happened though (edit: no he wasn't - she was on her own)

    I'm off to bed now - early nights for me these days - those 1.30, 3.30, 1, and 4.30 am bedtimes when on holiday have really worn us out. Or was it the vast quantities of fantastic food? Or perhaps the copius amounts of whisky, gin & slimline tonics, champagne and wine I consumed, do you think? Feels like we're on detox - we seem to have withdrawal symptoms

    so night night everyone - see you all in the morning - looking forward to a nice cup of decaf GB with maybe just a virtual scone/cake or two
