Erme, the wind up lanterns aren't that good, a friend has one and it takes ages to wind up for just a few mins light.
BL, thanks, I think she's looking at Gypsy Hill now, is that an ok area?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Gypsy Hill is probably pretty much the same as Norwood where you were looking before as it's close to there and also close to Crystal Palace. There are some lovely village type areas in these places and loads of restaurants/bars etc. From what I know it's not a particularly ''bad'' area but as I said before, every area has it's good and bad points. Hope you find something perfect and at a great price!I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Are you staying in London for a couple of days, if so try and find somewhere to stay in the area that she's looking at and get out and about and then you will get a feel of the place. I hope she doesn't just have a settle for somewhere that she's really not sure about because of the time limits. Good luck.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

No, we're driving there and back in a day. She should find somewhere, it's just that places go so quickly that half the time by the time we get down they've gone. I think she's realised now though that if she finds somewhere she really likes she has to decide pretty much there and then.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
