What can others do , do we email someone ? i know i have referred some people to niddy with the unenforcability and i think its terrible when someone can cause such obvious upset to people... it almost does make people want to leave ... i will happily send petition email if thats whats needed ...

I hope Niddy will have some time away and then come back.

I suspect that there is little we can do to either stop him going or to request that MSE change the forums so that these type of things don't happen. Trolls have too much time on their hands and will inevitably get around any new measures put in place, whilst at the same time those measures might stop new genuine and needy posters.

Its sad when someone who is a valuable member of the forums decides they have had enough and we all want to tell them to tough it out and to remember the words from the red box above

But at the same time none of us know how bad the abuse niddy was getting was. At the end of the day sometimes the bstds do grind you down.

The MSE forum is inevitably a victim of its own success, the bigger it gets the more trolls it will attract. I think niddy was similar in a way, his was a name known on many of the different boards and had a big impact some posters lives. So he is an easy target, and what he helped people with, well there are always going to be people (and especially bank employees and DCAs!) who disagree with that which again makes him a target.

Maybe sometime away will make him miss us all and he'll be back.
