    Hi All

I had my first meeting with Payplan today to kick start my DMP..AM SCARED and worried I can live on it it is f..all and I have no savings or credit any more..However on the plus size my mortgage is up to date my partner( who earns buttons and is not on the DMP as only half lives with me) will help when he can..
So I hope to be on here a lot and hope I can help people also..I'm a chatty soul and love people..been a tough year with problems in the family serious illness etc etc of nearest and dearest but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel altho cried a lot..

I am currently approx £34,000 in debt will be a long haul but will set up one of those things at the bottom which showes it decreasing
( by the way I'm in N Ireland I dont know if anyone on the boards are from there?

Hugs and good luck to all

Welcome on board, Fluffyboots, always nice to have new members around! The DMP mutual support thread might be a good one for a look in, if you want to chat to like-minded souls.

Sounds like fun in your house 3dogs, how are your dogs in storms? my woof is terrified of them, I'm sure she can hear thunder 50miles away, saturday night I got very little sleep, had to spend most of it in the living room with her with the TV on nearly fullblast to drown out the noise.
Hi everyone, Tixy one of my dogs is exactly the same. She(& the storm) woke me up early hours of Sunday. I ended up keeping Niddy company. She is also terrified of fireworks, i find if i play music this helps.:)

    Hi Everyone :hello:

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

    What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:

    report.gif

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM

It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT

Damned cheek of the spammers coming on this thread.

Hi fluffy and welcome. You'll find loads of support on this board - there is also a thread called without a paddle for people where people who have started DMPs this year support each other.
A lot of people find that after setting up their DMP they start to feel better about allsorts of things in life as well as their finances. Good luck.

oo look - not even told off for quoting the spammer :D
