Oh I forgot to have a moan/rant this morning (I must be tired:D)

So I went out last night for a meal with a voucher for a restaurant and we get to the restaurant to be told they are fully booked (okay so I could have booked earlier but I mean seriously a wednesday night in a small market town in current times?) so we had to go to another the place just down the road. Which was another italian chain that always has vouchers on MSE but of course I hadn't printed a voucher out for them. I did ask if I could show them an electronic voucher on my phone but no such luck, so I had to pay full price (for all 3courses we had:o), not very MSE after all:(.

Im now wondering if I need to print off every voucher I see on the weekly email just in case :)

    grrrr Tixy.....

Hope you enjoyed the meal nonetheless?

Yes thanks Spoon. Just annoyed with myself for spending more than I could have done had I been more organised.

Tixy - well you are either going to have to print out every voucher to take with you OR take your laptop and printer out with you instead of your mobile phone!!! Glad you still enjoyed the meal though

Hi all, I said Handy was one for the birds. These are the Tawny Owlets abandoned in our Woods last April, Tawnys are not great parents, and these two should have been hatched in August, not March.
    BothOwls2.jpg

The weather got the larger male, but with the help of a local vet and hawk expert we managed to save the smaller female.

Thats me when we rescued her. After two weeks of hand feeding she escaped from terry the vets aviary, so she released herself.

OK so I know this isnt Spam busting, Troll slaying or Money saving.
But it's a nice warm Bill Oddy type story.

See you all in a short while, handy

    Aww

We have barn owls round here handy, often see one out hunting on the fields. But out and about early this morning I got a quick glance of what I think must have been a tawny (on the basis that it wasn't a barn or little) but I've rarely seen them round my way.
There is something magical about owls I think, well all birds of prey really, I particulary like buzzards.
