Good evening all.
Wonder if there is going to be a storm in the night here. Anyone got rain yet?AllieBallie wrote: »On an unrelated note, does anyone got any tips as to how i can keep the local cats from poop-ing in my veggie patch-to-be?! I deweeded it and got rid of all the dead plants yesterday but already there are a couple of deposits left which is fine now but i dont want this happening when iv got stuff growing!
Spiky sticks stuck in the ground to spike them in the bum if they try (need to be a good 6inches or more and preferably the sort with lots of little twigs branching off.
Or (reportedly) human male pee somewhere nearby (although prefereably not on the actual veg seeds themselves presumably)!
Hi nicca, hope you are well and not too tired by work.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hmmm, I think I'll need to give June up as a bad job and hope I can catch up with you all properly in July. Missing you all! If any of you figure out how to freeze time, please do share
Hiya Nicca - what with going back to work full-time and then your holiday/DIY SOS/holiday & back to work, you must be knackered and not know whether you're coming or going, but nice to hear from you again
Apart from being tired, I hope you are wellMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Thank you. I'm grand! Just tired!
But the weather doesn't help! And rain! Tixy, I left the house to retrieve my abandoned car at around the same time the heavens were plotting to open up and drench any-one daft enough to have left the house without a jacket!
It was short and sweet but deadly! I had to drive home in saturated jeans, smelling like a wet dog and with mad, soaking hair! Gorgeous look! I'm sure it'll catch on!

Hi nicca, good to see you again. Apart from being knackered and very short of time, hope all's well with you?
Allie - Tixy's right about the sticks in the ground, also branches with thorns on laid over the ground would work long enough to get them out of the habit of using the ground you've just dug over. The attraction is newly dug over ground - it's lovely and soft on their pads, once it's gone a bit hard again they lose interest and find another patch.
3Dogs - hope you had a good day carbooting
BL - the jam looks scrummy:D
swanfan - tennis is much better - so is cricket, they won today:j
Off to have a wander now and check if I need to award any more ponies today.. back later to make sure Fred isn't being led astray by Wilma again;)
PS: rain - not yet, but just heard some fearsome thunder, so someone's in for a stormThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Yes, Spoon, I picked up a few bargains including a posh frock - more details tomorrow as I must get to bed now
And we not only won the cricket, we've won the series - great, any win over the Aussies is good news
