Afternoon, Wishes, you done a luvvely BUMP there by the way !!!
Well that overcast morning turned into a VERY hot and sunny day as I walked the doggies
Just gonna get dinn-dinns ready for hubbie coming home from car boot - he rang earlier and they had not had a good morning - no-one spending much - too near the end of the month for some people
and no money in their pockets - still, every bit counts don't it?
So I'll just put the washing that is just about to finish out onto the line and then get on with cooking cheese omelettes, grilled onion/cherry tomatoes/mushrooms and wholemeal toast Mmmnn I'm hungry just thinking about it - see ya later

An afternoon bump from me.
Today I have made progress - I finally have ordered and paid for a worktop for my kitchen. At this rate the whole kitchen will be done by September and I'll be out of excuses not to cook for myself. Friends and family might even expect me to cook for them to return the many meals I've had elsewhere.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

:T :T :T to buying your worktop - things are moving on again with your kitchen - bet you can't wait to see it completely finished - well apart from the fact that you will be expected to do your own cooking of course!

Do you take a preventer inhaler morning and night too Erme, as well as your ventolin? If not, I'd ask your asthma nurse for one, they really help me
I actually don't have an asthma nurse..I've been dxed 5 years and it only plays up when I have a chest infection but I've been on the anti b's since Tuesday and am still wheezing and coughing. I'm going for an spirology or whatever it's called thingy end of July so maybe we'll find out then?
I never had asthma as a child....sure mine is smoking induced but this weekend when I'm recovering from onion juice on Monday night is not the weekend to give up :P..
But they said on Tuesday something about steroids? is that the preventer inhaler....seem to need like the reliever all the time and woke up @ 2 this morning coughing like mad ...

No, Erme, the preventer is another inhaler which is used morning and night to stop attacks happening - normally brown/beige to differentiate (?) it from ventolin (blue). I actually use Symbicort which I use as a preventer and also as & when I need it - it does both jobs.
I get steroids when my inhalers can't clear the wheezing/coughing, and they work very quickly - Prednisalone normally
Make sure that you are using your inhaler properly, deep breath in and out, then puff of inhaler as you breath in again, keeping lips tightly around the mouthpiece, and hold that breath for 10 seconds to allow spray to get right into lungs. Then repeat after a minute's pause, and take sip of water afterwards to clear your mouth out or you can get irritation at the back of your throat.
Hope you get sorted out

evening all, finished in the garden - managed to get the rest of the plot cleared so just a little bit more work needed to clear the remaining roots and then i'll have to work in some good compost, fertiliser stuff and maybe something else to help feed whatever will grow (eventually wanting to grow veggies).
OH got some wallpapering done too which was good, unfortunately OH's mum was down to help which is why i hid in the garden and she was not at all complimentary towards me as usual. left me feeling a bit miserable to be honest
