childcare

hi, i have posted a few threads nowso geting used to this site.

i am thinking of taking up a access course for 2yrs part time and working 16 hrs so i will get help with child care. The only thingis that i would have to put my 2youngest 2 and 6 mnths into a nursey while @ college and then also another nursery while @ work.

Where would i stand as far as the tax credits are conerned as dont believe they would help with 2 diff nurseries.

I really dont wanna put off college until kids are older as only 8 hrs a wk at college is nothing and can study at home when kis in bed.

Just wondered if would rec help with most of child are as income will be slightly lower.

Any comments would be great!!!

Tax credits will pay costs incurred from more than 1 childcare provider in the normal way up to the usual 2 child max 80% of £300 in total so long as all the standard criteria is satisfied.

There might be some other help you can get so you should check this link out (NB if you want to apply for other sources of help with childcare costs you should confirm any affect on entitlement to your tax credit childcare award first):

It's £300 max but 80% of that is only £240 so although they will take into account up to £300 costs they actually award a maximum of £240.
