To Polish or Not to polish?

Hi, I've come across a couple of old brass and copper old horns, and am going to sell them, I was wondering whether, as they are quite (not sure of the word, tarnished? ) would it be worth polishing them to make them more saleable? or would it be better to leave them be?
Thanks
Thanks

If they are collectable / original I'd be inclined to leave them unpolished but make that a feature of your description.
So have a line in your description that says something along the lines of "As I'm sure you're aware the advice for collectors items such as these is to not polish them as some items need specialist cleaning, so I will leave the horn unpolished so you can decide whether you want to have it cleaned or not".
Alternatively if they show evidence of having been cleaned before then you might as well, that will give you a chance to remove any old polish that remains.0 -
These only go for peanuts on eBay. Get more for them as scrap.Never Knowingly Understood.
