Zoom in on your potential new home..

I'm currently looking for a new home and I use google earth to zoom in on streets and properties. Although you can't get in too close, it can be a good indicator of garden size, main roads and things such as playgrounds which you might not otherwise of known about.

I came across this function by accident so i'm not sure how, but you can get the street names to show up on each road as you zoom in.

I recommend http://local.live.com/ for this purpose.
Seems to cover the whole country to a consistantly high resolution, where you can zoom in on individual houses. The resolution is not quite as high as some areas on Google Earth but is much, much better than the worse regions.0
