I hate chemical paint stripping!!!

Ive used my heat gun as much as i can but I have to do round several door frames at the top which have glass in them, ive already cracked one so decided to use chemical paint stripper on this area but its awful I hate it makes me feel all itchy and you have to be so careful.
Is there anything i can cover the glass with to protect it so i can use my heat gun?

Holding a bit of sheet metal against the glass to deflect the heat would get you a bit closer, don't forget the oven glove

try and use aluminium instead of steel/tin plate.
aluminium disappates the heat much much better.Get some gorm.0 -
