Tesco on line shop.

I ordered a leg of lamb @ 7. 97 per kg.They have sent a WHOLE leg of lamb costing £20.13.Rang to explain I can neither afford nor want such a large joint. (2.526 kg)
She said she can't get hold of the driver to pick it up , plus she said 'I ordered by weight' 1.4-2.2 kg, which I am quite sure I did not! The price tesco quoted on the E mail was £7.97.Just looked online again, no weight option just the price per kg.
Who do I complain to?

if you dont want it ask for a refund, could you not cut it up and freeze half of it and use it for something else,

But legs of lamb don't just come as a 1kg portion! It would be £7.97 x however many kilos the particular leg of lamb was... (so in your case, you got a big leg!).

I'd just freeze some for another day.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

They won't take it back for a refund, yes I could do a lot with it, but the point is- I can't afford to pay £20.00,on a pension I have to be careful with my cash!

  • Yet another person who cant read properly criticising.

I went on and it quite clearly in the drop down boxes gets you to choose a maximum package price.

Maybe it does, but why do you feel the need to be so harsh, the OP is a pensioner and probably not as computer literate as you.

Because the OP came on complaining about Tesco; if the mistake was theres this is simply not reasonable and harsh.

If someone cant use IT properly they either shouldnt use it; seek training; or use it with the proviso they dont blame others for their mistakes.

He was complaining about Tesco because he thought he was overcharged. If it was explained to him better he would probably have been happy.

The training remark is unnecessary, lot's of people struggle with computers and the best way to learn is to use them

Do they also complain about Tesco overcharging them - a potentially serious accusation for Tesco - when it is there own naivity?

Thanks to those people offering positive comments- the rest of you (Weirdlittleman-) if you have nothing constructive to say ,keep your mouth shut! Some people on here can't help themselves, putting their tenpence worth of sarcastic comments in-you get no brownie points for that!

My point was , if the operator could have got hold of the driver they would have collected it and refunded me my money-not that they were disputing my order. I did not use a drop down box for choice of weight!
