Hi All, We are buying a house and we are close to contract exchange now. Our solicitor would charge us £42+VAT for completing the SDLT1 form so we are considering doing it by ourselves. Don't say you've not used a lawyer like it is something to be proud of - unless you are legally trained. Hope you haven't done your own eletrcity repairs too?
