Please can you recommend an account that needs no regular income to gain interest so I can be sure all monies are gaining and do not need to be transferred.

Cahoot is the top payer at 3.75%
Smile pays 3.04% if you pay in your salary, but it doesn't matter how big or small it is.
You can always cheat and withdraw cash and re-deposit it to meet the threshold but you need a branch nearby or it isn't worth it, doing it using BACS costs interest while the money is in no mans land between the accounts earning interest, thus defeating the purpose. If you are say £10 off the threshold or something like that, you could do it like that profitably though. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

A savings account would be better for you than a current account, kambinky, or do you need the facilities offered by a current account?0

You could consider the Nationwide flex account and E-saver combined. Without a regular income you'd only get 0.25% on the flex but if you only keep what you need to spend in it that wouldn't matter and online transfers are instant. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.
