Which suggests the problems are a bit more widespread than merely a Brown induced UK centric crash which has been the common unthinking rhetoric on these boards over the past couple of years.
Bravo. Didn't see much reference to this at all in certain postings during the election campaign.
It was all 'Brown's fault'.
I wonder how much more sheepish backtracking we'll see about Labour's record in the weeks and months to come.0 -

That's not how they ran up their debt. Germany was giving nothing beyond it's normal EU subs until recently, and in fact could be argued to have got more back, as the one country whose competitiveness greatly benefitted from monetary union.0 -
Well, if we carry on as we are, in five years time the interest we will pay on our debt could be around £70 billion - that's more than we currently spend on schools in England, plus climate change, plus transport.
