For my part, I don't think this board is either any worse or any better than any other.

Clearly, there are a lot of pretty uninformed and naive people out there - both posters and those who respond. I actually struggle to work out how some of these people get themselves into the mess they are in and then start spouting terms like "scam", "missold", "robbed", etc, etc as they can't get out of it.

There is often a high quality of responses and advice. Some dire advice from time to time as well.

I think you need to relax. If people are worried about getting ripped to shreds on an anonymous internet forum, then perhaps they shouldn't post in the first place and either pay for decent advice or find an alternative source.

Totally agree with DMG24 - if obscure cases are posted, then it may well be that those posting actually have some knowledge - or at least access to legal resources - which can help the posters. I am not sure why they are to be criticised for that.

Can't a guy point out that a username has been spelled incorrectly any more!?

    The world has gone mad!
Its a username !!!!!!, they can spell it anyway they like, it doesn't necessarily have to have any particular meaning for anyone but them!

That and people who post only to tell someone, that in the middle of describing how they have been pinned against a wall by a company, have no money and are extremely worried, that they dared to make a spelling error.

The first comma in your sentence should come after the second "that" not before it and the third "that" is superfluous.;)
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

A minor suggestion to all those who have spent most of the day debating (and I use the word very lightly) in this thread, If you look towards the front of your abode there is a large wooden or similar object known as a door, if this is opened then you will find there is fresh air outside and more importantly a life and real people, try it you may enjoy it.
Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.

More like a lot of people don't like the answers they get and then throw tantrums at the people trying to give them advice!

What a pointless thread this is! I've got a good mind to tear it to shreds!

How would you know? You've only been posting on MSE for 5 minutes. And all of your posts that Ive seen have been pretty confrontational. What was your previous user name?

As for the OPs ok there are a few Berkelys hanging around the forums doing their very best to antagonise posters and there are a couple of posters who positively hate consumers but the vast majority of members on MSE are extremely helpful.

Don't let the tiny minority put you off is my advice.

Was that a strop? I'm not sure because she didn't use any smilies!
