Scandisk keeps getting stuck near the end of it's task. It just freezes the screen and the PC isn't showing any signs it's doing anything.
Does anybody know if any reasons this may be happening?
Thanks for any help!

Tried but it does the same
No idea why it's doing it.
I could leave it on when I go out and see if it's trying to fix a problem?0 -
You could try running scandisk from dos using a bootdisk.
Haven't tried this disk myself, but it is a famous site for bootdisks, and legit.

May give it a go. See if I can do a defrag or something that may help.

just exit scandisk, and continue to boot into windows.
