JSA 'Back to Work'

How long are you normally on JSA before you have to do this? I've had an appointment in the post today after only being signed on a month! In that time the jobcentre staff have shown no interest and offered no support, or even asked how the hunt is going. Even when I asked to be referred to their 'response to redundancy' programme for training, CV help etc they just took my phone number, promised to be in touch about it and never have. All the interviews I've got in the last month have been from my own searching, all the volunteer work and training I'm doing I've organised myself and now I have to go and sit in a pointless session for an hour?

I suppose this is just a rant. I'll obviously go, I just thought that things like this didn't kick in for a bit longer, I shouldn't take it personally but I feel accused of not trying hard enough!

Sorry for pointless post.

Only just over a month, as I said in the first post.

Hopefully not much longer, is there a 'fingers crossed' smiley?!

Its all done at the start of a claim now, everybody has to do it, they arent going to push you in to a job if thats what you're thinking, its just a presentation telling you where to look for work, what you can do to up your chances of finding a job, what help they can provide etc etc.
    Very boring stuff

I was on jsa for over 1 year, i was offered New deal but I did'nt have to attend because the jsa booked this just before my JSA ran out after 6 months, then i had to make a new claim so the new deal was cancelled. I did have to attend the job centre every 2 weeks for a back to work interview, then it was once a week,by then i was stage 2 of JSA. I was offered training courses which were Volatery which i took.

If you looked a couple of pages back you will see my thread asking about the back to work session.
i attended mine last tuesday after only signing on for 6weeks,basically there were about 10 of us listening to an advisor talk through everything we can do to find work,cv help, expenses etc.
Ours lasted 30mins as he said at the start he wanted to get through asap as he realised its boring for us lol.

After six months entitlement to CB JSA will cease, and you will need to be assessed for entitlement to IB JSA.

IB JSA can continue for as long as you meet the criteria.
