Hi Rachie B, On the Gower there's a lovely campsite at the top of the hill behind Oxwich bay. Its called Oxwich Camping park, and its very conveniently located for a lovely sandy beach (IMO the best in Wales) and being on top of the hill it has stunning views over the bay. See reviews here: http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1709
I used to camp there back in the late 90's, looks like its been updated since then (dogs arent allowed now but I used to take my 2).
Have fun:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -
Try doing a search for Howelston Campsite, Little Haven.
Only a limited number touring/camping pitches available (mostly static caravans on site) but with fantastic views of the coastline. It's spacious and quiet enough, and 10 mins walk along coastal path or down quiet lane to the village. Recent new toilet/shower block is small but adequate.0 -
Hia,
Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm looking for a campsite on the Gower too! It's for a group of 15 colleagues for a weekend in late August, so availability is proving a problem... the Oxwich campsite that safesound recommended is available but specifically said on the phone "this is a quiet site", and I think we'd like to stay up chatting and drinking so wouldn't want to disturb anyone... a noisy site or one with little areas we could take over is better!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

Hi badger lady. If you want to have a drink and a bit of a laugh that might not be the place for you as when we went there last year we were constantly hassled to be quiet after 9pm by a quite thuggish security type person. I am in my early forties and was told, and I quote ' we thought we had got rid of scum like you'.
It used to have a reputation as a party campsite but they seemed to have stamped that out and is now populated by young professionals who surfed all day and wanted to be asleep by 10pm. That was just our experience tho. The site is beautiful by the sea, if a little too expensive for what you get.
Have a great time.0 -
Highly recommend Greenways over Oxwich, 5 min walk to the beautiful beach, epic views, great toilet block which is new and massive fields where you can camp where you like!0
