White flies on my violas
Comments
-
Whiteflies like being inside - especially greenhouses and under glass on windowsills. My first plan of action is always to put the plant outside and let it have a blast of fresh cold night air. At this time of year, the houseplants don't come to any harm outside when it's fresh and windy.
You can also get one of those sticky yellow things and hang it around the plant in the hopes that the flies will glue themselves to it. The trouble is that they breed and multiply so fast that they can ruin your plant before they start flying.
It's best to have a bug spray handy and give 'em a right blast with noxious chemicals. It's quick and effective.
