Strange Bug

Just out of interest really, found this fella on my window yesterday and neither me or my attempts at googling can identify it. Its about half an inch long, it has wings under a hard casing a bit like a beetle and walks around very quickly. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to what it is, thanks! :T

Looks to me like a 'red headed ash borer' but apparently they are only found in America so it's probably not that at all but looks like it to me
