Repairing Google Chrome

I have a 2 user account on my desktop pc running XP professional, the problem I have is that when I am using my account everything is fine but when using the other account Google doesn't respond and they have to log in to this account. Is there any way of repairing Google chrome on that account or is it a remove and reinstall chrome job? Everything else on that account seems fine ie. word documents etc.

remove and reinstall seems safest course of action then with fresh install you know its right rather than bodged fix0
