What to wear to a school admin asst interview?

Options
I know school admin staff generally wear smart casual clothes, is it ok to wear black trousers, black shoes and a smart top to the interview? Is that smart enough?

It is always best to overdress than underdress for an interview and the first couple of days, then you can casual it down a bit to match others, or until you get told otherwise.

Throw a suit jacket over that and you should be fine I think.

I need around £10,000. Help me get there!

Always, always go smart, ironed and simply dressed. You should wear one of these three choices:

    Smart skirt
    Smart trousers
    Shift dress

On top, you need to wear a jacket wirh smart shoes. Wear a watch, keep make up and jewellry understated and simple.

Show very clearly you're taking the process really seriously.

Remeber this is just one person's idea of what you should wear.

Don't make yourself skint or buy something you'll never use again. However if you want to wear a jacket can't you borrow one from a mate?

  • In hot weather a jacket may be overkill anyway and leave you looking and feeling hot and sweaty! A smart outfit, clean, polished shoes, neat hair and makeup should be fine!

To make sure you are on time!
And, because watches count as jewellery in many cases, to show that, even if it is kept understated it doesn't mean you don't wear none at all?

Erm; no need to wear a watch. Or a jacket. Just keep it simple and smart.
