Warranty on appliances purchased with new kitchen?

Hi
I am expecting my new kitchen to be delivered next saturday from B&Q (whom I might say provided me with good customer service). Today I have received a a letter from B&Q to regarding insurance on an appliance that I purchased from B&Q however I do not recall purchasing this insurance. I have phoned b&q regarding this and they are happy to refund the insurance. It is £59 and covers the first year for parts from manufacturer and next 2 years with b&q. I want to know if it is worth keeping on this insurance or should I go ahead and get a refund? I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks

Waste of money, get a refundIf it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I paid £50 to extend my Mira Shower warranty from 2 years to 5 years.
Also purchased 5 Neff Kithcen appliances last week and also extended warranty from 2-5 years for £240.Mortgage free

I did buy the extended warranty for my oven and hob but when the element in the oven went, although the part was covered labour wasn't, and I had to use their repair company I would have been much cheaper to get a local repair man and pay for the element than it was to pay their overpriced labour.0

HI there
I have also ordered a B & Q kitchen, and received the letter in the post re the insurance. I didnt order this either. I took it into my local B & Q and got full refund for my oven, hob, and fan. Total of nearly £145!
Apparently they automatically add this on to the order, and maybe hope the customer dont notice! I wouldnt have noticed if that letter hadnt come through to be honest.

Don't bother with these warranties. If you are concerned then just put the money into a separate account to use on the off chance that the appliance develops a fault somewhere down the line.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
its a very common ploy.
sales staff are often judged on their warranty sales. and will use any tactic possible.
warranty sales are drummed into all sales staff. just shows are profitable they are.
to the company, not to you!Get some gorm.0 -
