It does not work like that, you still carry on paying NI until retirement age.0 -

Some people reading this will have to pay NI until they're 68 - and not be able to get a pension till then either.

Me too Exil, i got my pension, well 60% on my OHs contributions last year but the up side was that as a female at 60 i stopped paying NI.
I still work part time so am still paying tax at 20% on all my earnings.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
