Dial up Internet access problem

I have tesco dial up internet. Yesterday the service would not connect. It only rang one number which was constantly engaged. Usually it would then try 3 or 4 other numbers, but it only kept trying the same number.
I have emailed tesco from work for a response as I cannot ring them on their 0906 number as I had a problem with hackers getting to my PC and BT put a block on all these numbers.
Grateful for any help or advice.

Look at the dial-up networking properties: open Network Connections in Control Panel, right-click your Tesco Dial-up and click Properties. Make sure the phone number shown is correct (check on tesco.com). Click Alternates and make sure the box 'If number fails, try next number' is ticked. You can also add any alternative numbers there.0
