I'm glad to see it isn't just me who is so infuriated by others. I know I'm not innocent and do trangress occasionally, but I like to think I'm reasonable most of the time!

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER... i was impressed by cyclists today , i seemed to drive into the middle of a charity bike thing around loughries area and they were so considerate in blind areas letting me know when it was safe to go and aknowledging that i has slowed down and gave them space. was very nice!!

now horse riders are another matter....

That is hardly their greatest sin. Cyclists demand a lot of attention from car drivers since they are so vunerable. That is ok, I get that. So why are they so happy to ignore red lights and put pedestrians at risk? My friend got an earful from a cyclist who did just this - apparently my friend was in the wrong by crossing the road under a green man... !!!!!!?!

I have never seen the police pull a cyclist for this yet I have seen it happen almost every day I drive to work...
    Always overestimating...

    1. Multitasking women and men - mirror, signal, brake, manoeuvre - all started at the same time.
    2. 30 grand motor cars where indicators are on optional extra.
    3. Tesco's car parks. The level of the intelligence of the people shopping there can be seen by the way they drive.
    4. Somebody who has no intention of overtaking, driving on the bumper of a slow moving vehicle. easily spotted They have "Me Me Me" tattooed across their foreheads...
    5. NIreland's version of a Cougar. Mutton dressed as lamb with big jeeps or people carriers that are seen twice a day - cloggiing the roads at 8:50am and sitting half on the pavement at 3pm waiting for that one child - before they head off towards the Tesco car park!

i hate hate HATE women who drive big 4x4s. 99.99999% of the time they cannot drive them. They don't know how big the car is and are always coming on to my side of the road and they can't park them worth a damn. They are always over the lines or half way out on the !!!!!!! road. My mum lives in hillsborough (stupid women 4x4 central) and in my wee picanto its hell trying to get to where youre going without one them driving into you. You should see it its not that small a car. For some reason the massive 4x4 has become a fashion item for the middle class women. Why do they insist that they need them for their one 6 year old? I have tiny wee car and i have baby and all the crap that comes with one pram etc. and i get on happily. but they should have a second driving test for you to drive one of those mothers.

I agree with so much of the above, especially the lane-hoggers, non-lane changers, and especially the new westlink as mentioned above.
But I'll just add another one that hasn't been mentioned - the people who just sit there when the light turns green. PAY ATTENTION!

I have a real bug bear as mentioned before with people who drive really close to the white line (it's called the safety line for a reason!). I have regularly experienced being forced over the the gutter on my side of the road because Mr. Oncoming-ignoramus drives with his wheel on the edge of the line or on the line. Meaning the wing mirror is well over onto my side of the road so on thinner roads it is very dangerous.

Pet hates: people who think the outside (overtaking lane) belongs to them.
    people who dont indicate.
people who park in disabled spaces at shopping centres, meaning there are no spaces for genuine disabled drivers.
    tailgaters... why !!!!!!..!?
people who approach a roundabout in the left lane, then continue right around the roundabout before cutting across the other lane.

im also a cyclist, so people who do not give cyclists enough space, roaring past at 40mph+ within about a half metre range!

Or those that park their great big 4 x 4s on the double yellow lines right outside the door of the supermarket - one of these days I'm going to accidently lose control of a heavy trolley and drive it straight into one of these! ;)

people who approach a roundabout in the left lane, then continue right around the roundabout before cutting across the other lane. I thought this was just me! Though I gave up being annnoyed about it though the day a police car did it right in front of me at the Carryduff roundabout, what's the point!

Most of it's just about having consideration for other people but some of it is fairly basic highway code.
