The standard of driving, especially in and around Belfast

its people not using their indicators at teh same time as not looking in their mirrors when changing lanes or cutting across the wrong lane at roundabouts both of which happened to me today!! idiots!!love you lots like jelly tots0

There is nothng like a school car park for a bit of road rage. I'm generally last minute Annie arriving at school (as I'm rushing from work to get there on time). I always end up parking a fair distance away from the school and then running to get there on time.
This all happens whilst the yummy mummies (those who don't work, never have worked and don't need to work) arrive in their jeeps half an hour before school finishes and commandeer the whole car park. They even seem to have their own spaces. Of course there is a pick up and drop off point which would be great for the likes of me but no the yummy mummies have their cars all parked there. Even if I'm late I haven't a chance of getting in there as the yummy mummies stand around chatting for 15-30 minutes after school finishes. It would drive you insane. :mad:0 -
My pet hate is people who hang on to their place in a traffic queue like their life actually depended on it!! They wouldn't think of just holding their horses a minute to either let someone from the opposite direction turn right across them or let someone in from the left...madness!! Just to get where they are going three seconds quicker!
I have to say I moved to Belfast from England five years ago and driving over here is a Sunday stroll compared to there!
I notice you don't use the word "good" to describe the driving over here:D0 -
Lack of indicators has to be the worst one.
We were behind a taxi driver by the Albert clock in Belfast today who decided to stop dead in his lane without so much of a glance in the mirror or a flash of the indicator. Of course the OH beeped the horn (as did the bus behind us) and what was the response from Mr Taxi?
"Are you an idiot? Don't you know that you shouldn't drive behind a taxi when he's looking for someone?"
Oh yes, we're very sorry Mr Taxi, we left our crystal ball at home today.
Then he drove off straight through a red light. Dumb as*.
I'd like to see him being so smug when the police pull him over.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
I hate nervous drivers - the ones that have had a license for years and are still terrified to cross lanes on the motorways, hestitate at every situation etc. If you are that nervous don't get behind a wheel of a potentially lethal weapon as you are more likely to cause accidents. I work with a girl like this and I hate being in the car with her.“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0

What really infuriates me is Sunday drivers.
Living on the Ards peninsula it can be a nightmare with older people driving down the peninsula at 30 MPH.
Also, cyclists! Why is it they have to be in a bunch of 30 at a time?

haha this. I'm a learner and keep getting people pretending they are going to drive into me and swerving towards me to try and get me scared. And its not just boyracer R drivers showing off. I dont understand why.0 -
Do you want to know what I thinks funny. I guarantee you all that yourselves have the worst case of road rage by the sounds of it.
Hope I never cross your path (or road)
relax and stop ranting0 -
One of the most dangerous is tail gaters who assume that everyone is willing to run red lights. I have to say that traffic lights on higher speed stretches scare the life out of me. With big ventilated discs and a lightweight car, I can stop very quickly but the idiot who is too close behind me often cannot...Always overestimating...0

Oh god...How I know that feeling!! Being stuck behind a gaggle of them inconsiderate pink lycra wearing muppets for miles down the coast road...
They should brush up on their Highway Code..- never ride more than two abreast, and ride in single file on narrow or busy roads and when riding round bends
