Glazing Company Nightmare

I've had a nightmare with the Glazing Company.
My suspicions were aroused when I booked through Enhanced Glazing and their 'parent company' Perfect Glazing arrived.
Anyway there were buidling contractors on site also renovating the property and we had an agreed way of working which would not interrupt the main contractors. The main contractor is not happy as they did not stick to the agreed way fo working and its cost home more than £1000 in additional labour costs!
The made a serious error with every window fitted, from using the wrong wood surround, to actually fitting a new window in the wrong place. They did, in good will, agree a significant reduction in the cost of invoice for this. At the time, it all seemed in good will so I paid them in full for the conservatory as well, which was nearly complete.
All that was left to do on the conservatory was harl the exterior, connect up the electricity, apply some trim and replace the badly fitted sills...there was a plasterer on site and a fitter for the sills when I paid. The Electrician was due the next day.
None of this was done. I continually phoned for 2 weeks with constant promises that someone would be there tomorrow. Eventually I challenged the company owner who told me he wouldn't complete the works and put the phone down on me.
I have attempted a series of written communications for the past 2 weeks which have been ignored.
What do I do now????

CAB? There must be a way to drag these cowboys through a court to get your money back for a totally shabby and unfinished job? Do Watchdog or Cowboy builders still want people to ring in with complaints?!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

thanks - have contacted watchdog and cowboy builders!0

The trouble with Watchdog etc is that they are highly selective as to what they choose to take up and then there can be prolonged delays while they make the case programme ready.
Your local Citizens Advice and/or phoning Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 would help you get things moving not only quicker but also more surely. Consumer Direct have some advice on the website at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk.
You will need to follow their advice, do things in writing and, if all else fails, take the contractor to the small claims court for whatever additional costs you incur to have the work finished. But don't do that until you have first followed the steps which CAB or Consumer Direct guide you through.0
