i have to replace a toilet seat but i don't know how to replace this particular one.
the ones i am used to you screw a plastic bolt underneath the toilet bowl at the back.
the one i have to replace has nowhere to do this, just a screw in the middle of the chrome fittings so i cannot take the seat off
where do i buy this kind of seat or does a plumer have to take the toilet off and do it that way
thanks

no, its similar to all the normal toilet seats that are in argos and such but there is nowhere to access the bolts as it seems to be hidden inside the toilet, sorry im not sure if i am explaining myself very well. on the hinge there is a screw in the middle0

If it's this type of WC some require the removal of the back panel to access the fixings.0

this is the type of toilet it is, is there any websites that tell you how to do this?0 -
If you can see the screw heads then what you probably have is an expanding fitting. The screw goes into a nut that is captured inside a rubber bung. When you tighten the screw, the bung expands and grips the inside of the hole. Unscrew the fixing screw a bit and you will probably find that the rubber bung will pull out. If you unscrew the bolt too much the nut may drop through. This will not matter if you are fitting a new seat, as it will come with new fixings.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
