How to get PC to automatically open IE when switched on?

Hi

Im fed up with manually opening IE every time I switch on my PC and then choosing the same 4 sites on 4 tabs, how can i get my pc to do this automatically?

I have some basic programming knowledge. Perhaps a button on my desktop would be good, one click and id be ready to surf..?? Or maybe s*d the button and do the whole lot from startup?

Ive got XP Home 2002 SP3
V8 of IE

Thanks

    Hi,

You can set internet explorer to open more then 1 tab at start up.

    Open Internet Explorer
    Go to tools
    Go to Internet options
Type in one webpage on each line to create a set of homepage tabs.

To setup IE running on startup, just add it to the startup folder in the start menu. No programming required so don't need to make it over complicated.

Firstly, go to the option to set your homepage and put in the four you want to open.

Secondly, click on Start, Programs, right click on the Internet Explorer Icon and drag it to the Startup folder. Select Copy. You will now find IE starts when you log in.

Instead of typing each one, just open them all from favourites (or however you normally do) and click the 'use current' button from the Internet Options dialog box as above :)

go to run command and type "msconfig"

click starup tab and then tick the check box what ever programs you need to open when startup.
