Maybe you need a newer version of a PDF reader.
How big is the file on disk? Some PDFs can be huge.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Foxit PDF Reader is getting a little naughty with it's installation procedure. I switched to PDF-Exchange Viewer and few years ago a would recommend it. Another option is STDU Viewer.
Oh, and whichever PDF reader you use make sure to turn off Javascript in it. It's a notorious security minefield if left enabled.0 -

It'd seem very strange you'd need an older version of adobe reader to open it. Usually Adobe Reader is very backwards compatible with older documents however older versions of Adobe Reader do struggle to open documents created in newer versions of Adobe Acrobat. Have you tried downloading the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe website?0 -
Have you tried saving it to your computer first and then opening it?0
-
yes lynn2 tried that0

Try this...open Adobe Reader, click the Help tab and then click 'Repair Adobe Reader Installation.'0
-
i think its the file not the reader ..others are opening as normal0
