Life assurance is a regulated financial services product and giving advice on a regulated product requires an FSA authorised individual.
To get the best advice, you should seek independent financial advice rather than tied advice (banks for example are tied to one provider). You can find your nearest independent by using https://www.unbiased.co.uk and type in your postcode and search from there (ignore the qualification filter as that is highly flawed and all IFAs can do life protection so no need to filter).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
hi dunstonh
gone through the site . cool one. mean while i searched for online insurance providers on the net. i searched a lot of sites. Most of them are offering their products . very few are intended to provide financial advice on life insurance.
I found a couple of sites better on life insurance. They are
einsurequotes.com
lifeinsexpo.com
If there is any wrong with these sites Post me a PM. so that i can be careful for the next time while refering any one.
Thanks in advance

There are some execution only sites out there offering some good terms. However, do you know what type of life cover you need? Does it need to be in trust? How should it be written? Which companies are best at underwriting on your occupation/health?
Some of the different types or life assuranced:
Level term assurance
Pension term assurance
family income benefit
decreasing term assurance
pension decreasing term assurance
whole of life assurance
yearly renewable term assurance
(there are others)
You also have reviewable premiums, guaranteed premiums, annually reviewable premiums.
Exection only sites concentrate on cherry picking the easy business which is fine if you know what you want or believe you know what you want. You would believe the number of people who go execution only basis but do not utilise a trust. They are in for a shock when a bulk of the life assurance goes in paying inheritance tax when it didnt need to. Although they wont be because they are dead. It will be the partner or children getting 40% less than expected.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. It might be worth mentioning to anyone reading this thread that the two websites mentioned look like they are for the American market, and would appear to be the same company running 2 different domain names.
Simon Calvin also seems to be very interested in learning about life insurance, as Google shows:

While surfing went thru those sites. It doesn't mean there is some thing wrong. I just got some info on their sites regarding the life ins policy. They may be for foreign market or not i didn't trace it out. I just want to insurance myself. regarding google u can find out me in a few forums only. obviously when u are in need of some thing u will be posting in the forums. that doesn't mean i am interested in any company. there may be a lots of people with the same name . It doesn't mean in all the places i am there.0
