On JSA and need boiler replacing.

Mid 50's, single and been on JSA for 10 months and have been told by 3 boiler engineers that I need a new boiler, cheapest quote £2,100 Is there anywhere I can go for help. No spare money, bad credit!

British Gas have a new boiler scheme that lets you pay over 8 years, but they charge more and charge interest on the payments so it will cost you in more the long run. As an example a friend has benn quoted about £4,000 from other people and £4,800 from British Gas, funding it on their scheme means payments of £100 a month for the next 8 years!
Of course the advantage of British Gas is they will be around to put right faults and can usually be persuaded to throw in free maintenance cover for a couple of years.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
