What does your daughter want out of a student account? The largest OD is Halifax but most people don't get the maximum in the first year.
Natwest usually has an offer where you get a 5 year railcard if you open a student account with them.

there will be an article by Martin later in the year summarising all the benefits from them, but it's far too early for this year's entry. maybe get your daughter to keep an eye out and then she can read through and see what suits her?
