LOL probably Rog, either way it's still only going to cost me the same because if she finds another £13 I'll have to give her her £5 pocket money on Sat, and if she decides to go with the £18 one I won't. Makes no real difference to me ;)

    Nasty mean mother I am:p

I think you are too soft:rolleyes:

    LOL how?

No matter what she decides to do I'm my budget for this week is going to be the same.

    £13 for the bag + £5 pocket money =£18

    or

    £18 for the bag +£0 pocket money = £18

I'm leaving it up to her to decide if she wants to use her pocket money to get the "better" bag. Good lesson in VFM I think :rotfl: :rotfl:

If she's anything like mine she'll get that £5.00 out of you! After all, she will need some cash so she can go out and show off her new bag;)

LOL no she'll just go and tell her dad I made her spend her pocket money on a SCHOOL bag (in a very put out tone of voice lol) and ask him for some. Doubt she will get it from him either.

Seriously, she is usually quite good about all this, she knows we are on a limited budget now and it's quite rare she asks for anything extra, from me at least ;)

Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)
Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!
  • Perhaps getting her to ask the shop if they can deal on the £18 bag is the way forward :D

Well my dd has just arrived home....with a totally different bag which cost £10 and a new pencil case and pen set, which she bought with the other £3 she saved on the bag.

Got to give her 10/10 for making those pennys stretch to the max....pity they are my pennys she's stretching LOL

    (I don't mind really)
