  • Hi,

    good, thanks, that looks better.
  • You will notice the logout option does not appear when viewing this thread initially. You have to use the grey scroll bar on the bottom of the page to scroll right. This is due to the extremely wide image ih8stress has posted breaking the page formatting. Any other threads which include very wide images will also have broken page formattting It's something we are aware of.

the logout button was not showing before ih8stress posted the image, otherwise how would I have made original post if condition did not exist? plus the logout button does not appear on ANY thread, not just this one.

Ih8stress, thanks for those instructions, I have saved them for future reference. No change to the problem by the way.

enigma: I've added a slight additon to these instructions (in brackets).

I second that. I only posted the screenshot to show others what the op and myself were experiencing.

As I mentioned previously it is only on THIS site (on ALL of the forums) that I am having this problem.

enigma: I was thinking of reverting back to the old style to see if this helped but wanted to give the 'new look' a fair trial first.:)

MSE Ian: Is this because of the new format then? In 'being aware of it' does that mean mse are trying to fix it, or should I just revert back to the old layout now?

    Thanks

Is this is because of lesser screen resolution?

Actually Ian, for me -and probably others, it occurs on every page - even without wide images. AFAICS, it is purely the "Main Site - Forum - ... - Logout - ... " bar itself not starting on the left, but somewhere to the right of the abuse@ mailto link.

    I strongly suspect that

    Of what?

AFAICS, this is is a 'coded to IE' error. Tags have been left open. IE decides intelligently BUT incorrectly to close them [incorrectly, because you might actually want to leave the tags open and close them later for nested effects]

Upshot is that html with errors renders on IE as tested on IE, but with errors on everything else.
