    Don't be hasty. Shrubs tend to have good bouncebackability. They have energy stores in the roots, so can regrow leaves later.

    You could give it a hard prune right back and it should regrow fine or leave them be and let nature take it's course. Hopefully Wasps and birds will have a field day removing the catapillars.
