Driving Licence Revoked

I have recently had my driving licence revoked on medical grounds (eyesight) - I am not surprised by this and think that the DVLA are right to do sp (so...I'm not trying to get it back!).
I suppose that what I want to do now is find out what financial support might be available now this has happened. I see that I qualify for a bus pass (oh dear...at 26 years old!). The DVLA letter states that I may be entitled to incapacity benefit, though I'm not sure under what terms this might be.
Any ideas where to start looking? Obviously, not being allowed to drive has more of an impact that one might at first think. It may prevent me applying for certain jobs etc.

You can apply for a bus pass. If you're not registered as partially sighted / blind, you need to take the letter the DVLA sent you to the council to get your bus pass. (they either need proof of registeration of visual impairment or a letter that says apart from drugs or alcohol, you're banned from driving due to medical fitness)
As for benefits - it depends on whether you can work (can you?) and whether you have care and /or mobility needs.
Many people with eye sight problems are able to live a normal life.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Thanks for your suggestions.
I'm self-employed, so it's not necessarily a problem; not being able to drive though does restrict what I'm able to do.0 -
Although I have no advice, I'd just like to thank you for having the sense to stop driving. Too many people continue despite having horrific eyesight and usually end up wiping out some poor innocent sod.
Best luck for the future.0 -
If you need to, ask to see a disability employment adviser (DEA) at the job centre.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
