Downloading onto Sony Walkman

Can anyone make suggestions which may help solve the following problem?:
DD has a Sony walkman (the purple metallic one) The problem she has is that her cds will download onto the computer but will then not transfer onto the mp3 player. We have uninstalled and then reinstated the new program to download onto computer but still no joy.
Is this a problem with our computer or something else?

When you say download onto the computer, what do you mean. The tracks on the CD need to be ripped into MP3 files using a program like dbPowerAmp, before transferring them onto the MP3 player.
HTH:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
My SS has a sony one, and he uses the Sony Connect programme that came with it. Don't try to download from Tesco though.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Uninstall Sonic Stage (that came with the player) and go HERE and download the latest SonicStage CP v4 from Sony. This is a much better version of the software than is supplied on disk. This may take some time.
Once installed, make sure that the player is connected to the USB lead correctly and that it's plugged into the computer. When you connect the two together you should get a sound that indicates that it's all ok. Check there isn't an icon in the bottom right of the screen saying "A USB device could not be recognised".
Open up SonicStage. First time you run the program it will want to search your hard-drive for music. You can also go to "File->Import" to do the same function. By default it will search you whole hard drive, but you can go to the settings and alter which directories that it searches.
Go to the transfers tab and you should see all of your music on the left and the player's music on the right. Simply select the music on the left and then click the "-->" arrow to transfer it over.
If you have more specific problems let me know
