Will This Pc Run These Game?

just wondered if anyone could tell me if a pc with the following spec will run games such as BATTELFIELD 2, HALF-LIFE 2 / CS SOURCE, GUILD WARS, GUILD WARS FACTIONS AND WORLD OF WARCRAFT, please

this is what it says about the pc

Pentium 4 3GHz for programs, games and Internet use plus the 160Gb Hard Drive is more than ample size for storing your downloads and files. Also with ATI RADEON 9100 SE 128MB
and its 512 RAM
reach for the moon because even if you miss you will still be a star!

Yeah Battlefield 2 can be a beast. My brother managed on his old Radeon 9700 Pro and 512mb RAM but he had the settings quite low.

As mentioned above, you'd really need a better graphics card, and then after that I'd get another 512mb RAM.

  • Does it have an AGP ot PCI-Express slot??

A 6600/6600gt would be a decent AGP card and at least a 7300GT if it is PCI-Express. Better to add another 512mb if possible too!

7300 isn't what I'd class as decent personally, especially if looking Half life 2 (not had any experience with battlefield 2). Anyway does the hard drive state what rpm it is? (Most likely will be 7200rpm but might be 5400rpm-not very good for games). The graphics card...ew! Thats quite old. Look for a PCI-Express system (to allow for more upgrading potential in the future) and I'd recommend a 7600 nvidia or x1600 ati level card but avoid versions that have LE in the name.
As others have said 1gb instead of 512mb RAM would also be highly recommended!

Just a personal issue to thread owner, EASE OFF CAPS LOCK please. Thanks!
Out of my mind. Back in 5 minutes.
  • A 7300GT is more like a downgraded 7600GS. It is an 8 pipeline card not like all the other 7300 series cards which are 4 pipeline. The source engine should be OK on lower hardware too!

It has more performance than a 9500 pro or 9600XT. It would give a x700 a good run for its money too!!

Another card to look out for is the 7600GST which will thrash any X1600 and any standard 7600GS and costs around 100 quid.
