Homebase Kitchen Poor Service

Hi,
We have had a kitchen planned and designed by Homebase - all delivered and now due to the position of the boiler a wall unti and base unit of 500mm does not fit. We have called homebase to change thsai and they do not allow and returns and exchanges.
I cannot believe that such a large company offers such poor custoimer service.
I would like to complain as they did say it was up to the store manager - he made allowances for us when he wanted the order and our money but not now.
Does anybody have any suggestions ?

Hey, I work on customer services for a branch of Homebase and like every other store we do have a return/exchange policy. Why they probably said that it was down to the managers discretion is because the policy states that we will give a full refund for goods within 28 days, after this we can offer an exchange as good will, if a manager authorises it and due to the length of time it takes for Kitchens to be delivered the latter applies in your case. You should probably request to talk to the Duty Mangaer directly to see what they can do for you and if you still aren't happy then contact head office via 0845 077 888! Hope this helps0

I used to plan kitchens for HB. Did they come out and measure your kitchen or did they do the plans based on your dimensions?
If they measured, they should provide you with a refund as they should have taken into account the boiler. Unfortunately if it was based on your measurements they don't have to provide an exchange or refund as the fault wasn't theirs. Sorry.0
