    I suspect that's more than 1 house, somehow. :)

    It's lots of houses.

Most of which have now sold.

  • Freshly announced cuts in public spendings across UK services as well as across Europe, especially Germany, will create strong deflationary pressures - we are entering new era of massive sovereign, business and personal de-leverage. House prices will be pushed much lower than they are today me thinks.

Hey, thats my thread! And indeed its been going for two years, most of the original posters have now sold, but it continues for others.
Fact its quite a difficult market these last two years.
Fact some houses are overpriced some better priced.
Fact sometimes theres nothing wrong with the price per say or the house, but a question of finding the right buyer for your house, I have had houses that rightly should have been snaped up, but linger, and others that are so awfull yet sell within days.
Fact more sales are falling through at the moment due to finance difficultys etc

i have been thinking about buying a place for the last three months. Many places I originally noticed for sale in March are still for sale. One place I quite like wants a price that would imply around a 30% increase since they bought it in 2007 - suffice it to say it's still on the market and I think it is vastly overpriced which is a shame as I'd buy it at the right price. but then price is all subjective.

But have they completley renovated the property since then? Its possible? Best to compare with other similar properties rarther than just paid price in 2007.

redecorated the interior but doesn't justify 25k more than it was.
